Q&A - Should I Wait Until I'm In Pain to Grab the Tuner?
It's a great tool to use when you're hurting, but that's probably the wrong time to start getting your brain working better. If you grab the device and just use it when you hurt, it's going to have an effect. It's not going to have nearly the effect that we want it to have, though. There's a training process.
If you will use it when you don't have pain, your brain starts learning how to access that more calm state. That process of teaching the nervous system how to access calm and relaxed is really the beauty of these tools.
If you have to use these tools, just like you have to use a bottle of Advil, we're in trouble. I don't want them used just to replace medicines. That would be terrible. What I want to do is help your body to heal and learn how to function at a better state and be happier.
If we can use them in a preparatory state, meaning if we can use them for, say, six weeks daily, whether you have pain or not, your brain goes through this process of learning how to access those chemicals of calm and how to access those chemicals of healing, and the net result is you start having less and less of the abdominal pain, or less and less of the headaches.
