A Neurotherapist's Experience: Using Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization to Access the Parasympathetic State

Say hello to neurotherapist Eric Koester of Complete Care Chiropractic & Wellness in Stuart, Florida! He's been using the Tuner for awhile already, but we got the chance to meet in person at our Rezzimax Conference in Tampa. We talked about some case studies and came up with some great ideas on how to more effectively apply resonance therapy to calm the trigeminal nerve and vagus nerve. Shortly after the conference, he sent me this message:

"Just letting you know I tried the scraping/reconnecting with the hands and feet on my TBI this morning and it was an immediate success. I saw her entire body language and communication go into parasympathetic. And after that I was able to put the Rezzi on her face and head (which was overwhelming before) and she felt so good that she said, 'I'm not sure how to interpret how my body feels right now.'
Super exciting! Thank you sooo very much for the tips this weekend!"

We Want To See You at Our Next Event!

We've been trying to get the word out to as many people as possible, professionals and patients alike! Attending a Rezzimax conference is a great way to learn new techniques, improve your skills and enjoy the company of others. Take a look at our schedule to see if we're coming to a city near you!

The Network Inside Our Bodies

Our nervous system is a superhighway of interconnected nerves that oversees each and every aspect of our bodily functions. Among its two main components, the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is essential in our ability to relax, recover, and also our overall well-being. Gaining a deeper understanding of it can open the doors to better physical and mental health.

What is the Parasympathetic State?

The parasympathetic nervous system is one of the two branches of the autonomic nervous system- the other being the sympathetic nervous system (SNS). While the SNS is responsible for the "fight or flight" response during stressful situations, the PNS is often referred to as the "rest and digest" system. When you activate a parasympathetic state, it puts your body into peak healing mode. It allows you to relax, recover, and restore balance, especially after periods of stress or exertion.

How the Parasympathetic State Works

What's amazing about this state of rest and relaxation is that you can observe actual physiological changes:

Slowing of the Heart Rate - The PNS can help to decrease heart rate, which results in a sense of calmness.

Lowering Blood Pressure - Do you have hypertension? Bringing yourself into a parasympathetic state can actually reduce your blood pressure. It counter-acts the increase in blood pressure in experience from the sympathetic nervous system's reaction to stress.

Stimulating Digestion - The PNS can even help in improving your gut health! It enhances digestive functions by increasing the production of saliva and digestive enzymes. This can help your body to absorb nutrients efficiently and fight off digestive issues such as Candida.

Relaxing Muscles - Having a tight body is no fun! It often leads to muscle spasms, tension headaches and a myriad of other symptoms. PNS helps your body to release all of those stored-up emotions as it relaxes the muscles and diminishes the tension built up during stressful situations.

Improving Immune Function - It makes sense that when the body is in peak operating parameters, that its different systems work better. Getting yourself into a parasympathetic state can reduce the production of stress hormones like cortisol, which can suppress immune responses.

Get a Good Night's Sleep - Putting yourself into a parasympathetic state regularly can pay off in dividends when it comes to bedtime! Avoid those long nights of tossing and turning, an overactive brain that wants to solve world problems and wake up refreshed.

How Can I Activate the Parasympathetic State?

For centuries, humans have learned how to put themselves into a state of calm and relaxation through methods such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, and spending time in nature. In fact, scientists have found out that bacteria you might encounter in the soil while gardening or enjoying the great outdoors has been shown to increase production of serotonin levels! What are some activities you like to do to relieve stress?

Going back to Dr. Koester's experience with his patient, he was amazed at how effective the Rezzimax Tuner Pro II was at accessing that relaxed state! We've discovered that bringing the nervous system back into balance results in the resolution of a whole lot of symptoms and conditions. That's how we came up with our saying, "Tune out pain and tune into life!" Would you like to see if the Tuner can make a difference for you? Hi Janet!

I’d love for you to try some of these Rezzipes and get back to me with how they went. Go ahead and click the “Learning” menu at the top of the page and you’ll see an option to access the Rezzipes. I’d start by trying the Head & Neck Rezzipe.

I have had the rezzimax for about 2 years- I just recently had a frenectomy which will hopefully take away a lot of my tension headaches!
Could you send to my email some rezzipes for the parasympathetic nervous system & hue to release tight neck & shoulder muscles…

Even went to Spero Clinic to no avail…
