Primitive Reflexes | Babinski Reflex Rezzipe - Tuner Pro II
Babinski Reflex – Big toe curls up while other toes flare out.
The Babinski Reflex occurs when the sole of the foot is firmly stroked. The big toe extends upward while the other toes flare out. This reflex is present at birth, but will fade out after the first year of life.
Retained?
A retained Babinski Reflex often indicates the presence of a central nervous system disorder. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you notice these symptoms:
- Toe Walking
- Poor Balance
- Trip or Fall Easily
Step 1
- Tuner: Wings
- Intensity: Highest Tolerable Level
- Pressure: Moderate
- Duration: 20 Minutes a Day/3 Times a Week
Set the intensity of the Tuner to the highest level you're able to tolerate. We want to start on the side of the body that's weakest. Using a moderate amount of pressure., use the wing of the Tuner to scrape your entire body, starting from your toes and moving up towards your head. Once you've finished scraping the weakest side of your body, do the same thing to the other side.
We want to give the weak side of your body twice as much attention. Let's go back and scrape it one more time. You'll want to do this for 20 minutes every day, at least three times a week.
Step 2
- Tuner: Accessory Clear Tip
- Intensity: Highest Tolerable Level
- Pressure: Moderate
- Duration: 12 Times
For this step, we'll want to use the accessory clear tip. Set the intensity of the Tuner to the highest level you're able to tolerate. Using a moderate amount of pressure, use the accessory tip to trace a 90 degree angle on the foot. Start at the heel and move up the outside. Once you reach the ball of the foot trace across toward the big toe. Do this a total of 12 times, then do it again on the other foot.
