Angéle - Dealing with the emotional trauma of a traumatic brain injury and Rumination Syndrome

We had a surprise visit from one of our favorite clients a few months ago, all the way from the Netherlands! Angèle first came to us a year ago trying to find ways to cope with the effects of a traumatic brain injury and resulting Rumination Syndrome that occurred from a car accident seven years ago. She went four years with no diagnosis or ways to manage it, losing her home, her job and her self identity along the way. Watch this short video to see how she’s doing now, and how the Rezzimax Tuner was a part of her recovery!

"I think it's already seven years ago I had an accident and I got a traumatic brain injury, a really heavy one. In the year that the accident happened, I thought, I will be fine. I will be fine. I’ve never been sick, and a year later, the doctor tells you, Yeah, but this is it. It can’t be it.

Step by step, I lost my home, I lost my job, I lost everything that actually I stand up for it in the morning You're also not your self anymore. You're struggling with pain. I was vomiting a lot and nobody could tell me what it was. Then I came to America four years later and they made a prognosis of Rumination Syndrome.

I thought in the beginning what can that device do for me? We started with working on my trauma. Can it help? Can it really just help to get rid of that anger in me? I have so much anger in me.

Sharik told me a lot of exercise things and And a year later, yeah, I'm more at peace with myself. And now I can just compare things that are going so much better. I'm able to work again, able to do things again. Being with people around me. It makes me so happy and even more grateful that I already was, being able to do normal things in life.

A big part is the Rezzimax. And of course, sometimes I'm still getting angry, I just grab the Tuner, put it on my leg and just keep breathing. And I know it will be over. The Rezzimax gave me the biggest opportunity to just be happy with myself. I still have the Rumination Syndrome, but it makes it livable for now."
