Aaah choo! “Don’t worry,” you say, “it’s just allergies.” According to AAFA (Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America) allergies are one of the most chronic diseases. Chronic means the disease is reoccurring or lasts a long time. We say, “Don’t worry, it’s just allergies,” but do we really mean it? When people avoid us because we’re sneezing and snuffling. If we can’t exercise because we are wheezing and gasping for breath. When we live in fear of accidentally eating something because of the allergic reaction it will trigger. If the drone of a bee, on a sunny day, puts you in a panic because its sting can cause an anaphylactic allergic reaction in your body. There is cause to worry.
What is an allergic response?
An allergic response happens when the body’s immune system determines a certain substance is harmful to the body, when it really shouldn’t be. An Immune system is supposed to attack things that are harmful. Things like disease-causing bacteria, virus and fungi. When your body’s immune system discovers something it determines dangerous it releases an antibody called immunoglobulin E (IgE). If your body declares war on something that isn’t dangerous, the IgE casues an allergic reaction. This may cause skin rashes, congested sinuses, inflamed or closed airways, among other symptoms. Anaphylaxis allergic responses are so severe they are life-threatening. An anaphylactic allergic response can cause your body to go into shock. Anaphylaxis reactions require a doctor’s care.
What causes an allergy to develop?
Experts really don’t know. You can have allergies as a kid and grow out of them. You may have never had an allergic reaction to something and suddenly, as an adult, you develop allergies. Or, you may have lived with allergies your whole life. Scientists theorize that as we live in cleaner environments, our immune systems don’t have as many germs to fight. Bored, they find new things to fight. Other scientists think it may simply be that you haven’t been exposed to enough of what is causing your allergy. If you move to an area where there are higher levels of a certain pollen, you are suddenly allergic to it. An additional theory is that you are exposed to an allergen when your immune system is weak and this triggers the allergic reactions to begin.
Nobody is born with allergies
Medical News Today reports, “Nobody is born with allergies.” However, once you are sensitized, or once the body sees a substance as dangerous and reacts negatively towards it, your body retains a memory of that substance and you are now allergic to it. The World Allergy Organization (WAO) warns that, “the prevalence of allergic diseases worldwide is rising dramatically in both developed and developing countries.”
What can you be allergic to?
You can be allergic to pollen, dust mites, mold, food, insect or snake venom, animals, and more. Generally speaking, food and venom allergies are the most dangerous, because they are the most likely to cause anaphylaxis.
How do you treat allergies?
In the past you suffered through allergies, or went to the doctor to get a prescription. A doctor would give you an allergy shot to help you through the worst of your seasonal allergies. New technology and advancements are happening every day. Today, people with severe allergies carry epi-pens that allow them to give themselves a life-saving shot of epinephrine before going to the hospital to prevent an anaphylactic reaction. Others receive a series of shots designed to reduce the body’s reaction to a substance(s). Some use over-the-counter or prescription medications.
The Rezzimax® Tuner can help
The RezziMax® Tuner has been shown to assist people in calming their allergic reactions. You can use it to reduce hay fever, pet allergies, rashes and other allergic reactions. The Tuner calms the immune system and reduces the chemical response. This is not usually a quick fix, it takes patience and time. The Tuner can train the nervous system to shut off the chemicals released by the body that trigger the traumatic response. Over time, this can make allergies and the allergic responses diminish and eventually disappear.
I want to be a vet, but I’m allergic to pet dander
Sharik Peck, creator of the Rezzimax® Tuner, experienced this with his daughter. She had always wanted to be a veterinarian, but was allergic to pet dander, especially cats and rabbits. Sharik performed the tuning techniques with her and, over time, her animal allergies disappeared!
By using the Tuner to teach your body to be more selective and not overact, you can also decrease other signs of a hyperactive immune system, such as chronic pain or depression.
